Selective empathy:
It is impossible to throw a mass of intense images at
people and expect a meaningful response. A publication that gives the
reader a responsible overview, then allows the reader to pursue that which
is of more interest, serves everyones needs more thoughtfully. Of
course, should the editors of a publication find that certain subjects
are of utmost importance then there are numerous strategies of presentation,
including design, image selection, text, sound, etc., that can be utilized
to impress upon the reader the need to become acquainted with this subject.
