“Photographs by Iraqi Civilians, 2004,” is the result of a project undertaken by the
Daylight Community Arts Foundation, Inc., to distribute disposable cameras to civilians in Iraq in April/May, 2004. The Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization, co-founded by Michael Itkoff and Taj Forer, that strives to establish community-based documentary partnerships in various locations throughout the world. Their belief is that the production of documentary imagery and text addressing issues of social importance can empower individuals and communities to affect lasting change.The Foundation publishes Daylight Magazine (www.daylightmagazine.org)

The exhibition, “Photographs by Iraqi Civilians, 2004,” is on view August 30 – October 10, 2004 at the:
