Russell Keith Frederick was born to Panamanian parents in the bustling, multi-cultural neighborhood of Bushwick, Brooklyn, in 1970. In November of 2000, Russell was accepted to the “Diverse Visions” workshop sponsored by Associated Press. He currently works for Associated Press as a photo librarian but remains first and foremost a photojournalist.
